On the 20th of March 2024, the Graduation Ceremony of Organic Vegetable and Poultry Farming was held with great success, organized by the Ability Development Society of Nepal (ADSoN). This ceremony marked the final day of a 3-month modern organic vegetable and poultry farming training program of 7th batch participants, where participants received graduation certificates to acknowledge their successful completion of the course.
During the event, special guests President of ADSoN Rtn Rabindra Raj Pandey, Executive Committee Member Mr. Homnath Aryal, and Ms. Prakriti Bhattarai from the Women Development Section of Lalitpur Metropolitan City showed their active participation and ADSoN staff members also actively took part in the program.
During the graduation program, the President of ADSoN, Rtn Rabindra Raj Pandey, gave best wishes to the participants with disabilities for their future success and endeavors in agriculture. He motivated and encouraged the students to engage in agriculture commercially and committed to providing seed money to start agriculture. He also informed the participants that disability is merely a condition and that any person can become disabled at one point or another and one should stay strong and motivated at any circumstances of life.
Similarly, Executive Committee Member of ADSoN, Mr. Homnath Aryal, gave best wishes to the participants and also encouraged them to engage in agriculture business successfully. Another special guest from the Women Development Section – Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Ms. Prakriti Bhattarai, shared her personal experience of her disability and expressed how challenging it is for persons with disabilities to establish themselves in their respective or interested field in order to progress in their life. She also recited a heart-touching poem that she wrote about disability and promised to support by providing agriculture grants to local participants with disabilities.
The Fund Development Director of ADSoN, Ms. Nirmala Gyawali, gave a short speech on the history and introduction of the agriculture project and motivated students to engage in agriculture commercially. Similarly, Executive Director of ADSoN Victory Thapa also gave a speech of vote of thanks to the participants. ADSoN also distributed gift hampers to the graduates like agriculture items such as watering cans, 3G cutting scissors, yellow trap paper, spray jugs, agriculture books, and different types of vegetable seeds along with agriculture proposal so that participants could feel comfortable to receive agriculture grant from their respective local government offices.
The 7th Batch Participants also shared their experiences regarding the 3-month agriculture training and thanked all the members of ADSoN for providing such a golden opportunity to participate in modern organic vegetable and poultry farming to enhance their agriculture skills. Some of the participants expressed their gratitude through beautiful poems.
